Loy Krathong Festival Press Conference

A press conference was held at Thapae Gate to announce the Loy Krathong Festival, also known as Yi Peng Festival in Chiang Mai, will be held from 7 – 9 November 2022.
Highlights of the Loy Krathong / Yee Peng Festival include:
7 November @ 6pm: Opening of Yee Peng Festival at Thapae Gate
7 & 8 November @ 7pm: Mister & Miss Yee Peng Contest at Thapae Gate
7 – 9 November @ 8pm November Display Lights & Sound Show @ 8.30pm, Fireworks at raft on the river at Sri Khong Temple – opposite Municipality Office
8 November @ 7pm: Lanna Lantern Parade Thapae Gate to Municipality Office
9 November @ 7pm Large Krathong Parade Thapae Gate to Municipality Office
Komloys will NOT be allowed within the City limits / Fire works will NOT be allowed within the City limits (excluding the official ones opposite the Municipality Office). Hand held small fireworks, eg: sparklers will be permitted.

Drinking alcohol will NOT be permitted in public.
