TAT Unveils “LANNA RENAISSANCE” to Reimagine Chiang Mai Through Contemporary Fashion, Gastronomy and Music
CHIANG MAI – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Chiang Mai Office, has launched LANNA RENAISSANCE, a new tourism campaign under the “Amazing Thailand: Feel All The Feelings @ Chiang Mai” initiative, reimagining the city’s rich Lanna heritage through contemporary fashion, gastronomy and music.
The project builds on TAT’s global “Feel All The Feelings” campaign, fronted by global superstar Lalisa Manobal (LISA of BLACKPINK), which invites travellers to discover Thailand through meaningful experiences and emotional connections unique to each destination.
For Chiang Mai, TAT has transformed this concept into LANNA RENAISSANCE, presenting a fresh interpretation of Lanna culture for a new generation of travellers. By blending traditional heritage with creativity, modern lifestyles and contemporary design, the campaign showcases Chiang Mai as a city of inspiration, craftsmanship and authentic experiences, encouraging visitors to engage with the destination through all five senses.
Throughout August 2026, the campaign will feature three signature events, each highlighting a different aspect of modern Lanna culture.
The programme begins with LANNA HAUTE COUTURE on 8 August at the Rincome Intersection, where the heart of Chiang Mai will be transformed into an open-air fashion runway. The event will spotlight contemporary interpretations of traditional Lanna textiles and handicrafts, presented by emerging designers.
This will be followed by LANNA OMAKASE on 16 August at Villa Uchi Chiang Mai, offering an exclusive fine dining experience that celebrates Northern Thailand’s culinary heritage through innovative dishes created with locally sourced ingredients and traditional Lanna wisdom.
The campaign concludes with LANNA MUSIC EDM on 22 August at FUR Cafe CNX, where electronic dance music will be fused with elements of Lanna culture, creating a contemporary musical experience that reflects the city’s dynamic creative spirit.
According to TAT, the campaign aims to reshape perceptions of Chiang Mai beyond its renowned temples and mountains, positioning the city as a creative destination where heritage and innovation coexist. By bringing together fashion, food and music, LANNA RENAISSANCE offers visitors new ways to experience the region while celebrating the enduring identity of Lanna through modern expressions.
More than simply a place to visit, Chiang Mai is presented as a destination filled with stories to discover, inspiration to embrace and memories to create.
LANNA RENAISSANCE invites travellers to experience a new chapter of Lanna culture and answer one simple question:
“What Does Chiang Mai Feel Like?”
