French Embassy Delegation Visits Windfield International French School Chiang Mai to Strengthen Educational Network in Northern Thailand
Chiang Mai, 22 September 2025 – Mme Lise Talbot Barré, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs (COCAC) of the French Embassy in Thailand, together with Mme Muriel Schmit, Education and French Language Promotion Officer (ACPF), visited Windfield International French School Chiang Mai to discuss strategic plans for advancing French education in the northern region.
They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Samach Yongseri, School Licensee, Mr. Traitos Chaiyavong, School Director, and Mr. Sébastien Mauve, French Principal and Academic Director, who engaged in dialogue on strengthening the role of French curriculum education in Chiang Mai and beyond.
As the first and only French-curriculum international school in Chiang Mai, Windfield recently signed an MOU with Alliance Française Chiang Mai and is preparing further collaborations with Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Humanities and leading institutions in France.
The visit was also attended by representatives of French families relocating to Chiang Mai, Alliance Française members, parents, teachers, and students. Prior to this, the delegation met with the French language teaching network across Chiang Mai and the Northern Thailand French Language Network.
Looking ahead, Windfield International French School Chiang Mai will showcase its programs at the Education Fair: Chiang Mai International School Gateway, on Saturday, 4 October 2025, at Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai, Booth No. 27, where parents will receive special offers and updates.
