Chiang Mai Municipality Holds Press Conference for the 2025 Chiang Mai Yi Peng Festival.
To welcome the tourist season and stimulate the city’s economy with cultural activities, Chiang Mai City Municipality Mayor Asanee Buranupakorn, along with various partner organizations, held a press conference for the 2025 Chiang Mai Yi Peng Festival. The event was attended by Mr. Chatchawan Panya, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province; Pol. Col. Kittipong Petchmunee, Deputy Commander of Chiang Mai Provincial Police; Mr. Watcharayuth Kuawong, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chiang Mai Office; and Mr. Manop Yaem-Uthai, Senior Expert from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth). The press conference took place on stage at the lobby of Building 5, 1st floor, Chiang Mai City Municipality Office.
Mr. Asanee Buranupakorn, Mayor of Chiang Mai City Municipality, revealed details of the 2025 Chiang Mai Yi Peng Festival, stating that this year’s event is organized under the theme “Heritage of Nopphaburi, Continuing the Way of Wisdom.” “The beautiful and valuable culture of Yi Peng Lanna to the world” by Chiang Mai Municipality, in collaboration with all sectors of the network, to organize the traditional Yi Peng festival in Chiang Mai, year 2025, from 4 – 6 November 2025, in a full and grand manner.
Mr.Assanee Buranupakorn , Mayor of Chiang Mai Municipality, in collaboration with related agencies ,had organized the Press Conference on the Yee Peng Festival 2025.On this occasion , it wasthe Municipality’s great honor to welcome the distinguished guestsfrom leading public a gencies suc h as M r. Chatchawan Panya (Deputy Governor Chiang Mai) , Pol.Gen. Mayor Assanee presented the details and theme of this year’s event which will be held during November 4th- 6th, as “ Heritage of Nopburi (Chiang Mai) and conservation and promotion of the precious Lanna wisdom and culture of Yee Peng to the world”.
