Dr. Yaowaluk Chanbang took Spoon&Fork
to Dum Nern Saduak Coffee Cafe
This month we ask our city’s coffee aficionado, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yaowaluk Chanbang, Head Postharvest Technology Research Centre, Faculty of Agriculture – Chiang Mai University, and the expert who has helped just about every single successful coffee business in town over the past many decades, to take us somewhere new. She took us to Dum Nern Saduak Coffee Cafe where she first encountered budding barista Nissorn Ponpanumas, in whom she saw great potential and ended up offering him training in the university’s workshop. Today he is a successful barista, serving excellent espressos and lattes and serving great food to go with it all. Once in a while Dr. Yaowaluk likes to pop in to check on her protégé.
