Imperial Mae Ping’s The Garden Bar
It is winter and there is nothing we locals like more than an evening out with friends or family at a great garden restaurant. One of the more popular destinations for a festive night of casual fun is the Imperial Mae Ping’s The Garden Bar which comes with serenading chilled live acoustic music and fabulous food by long term Chiang Mai Chef Stephan Frenzel. The menu is vast and you can dig into all of your favourite Thai dishes or a selection of tapas bites to help the draft beer go down. Coming from Germany, Chef Stephan’s odes to his homeland are definitely the menu highlights and if you have the appetite, then it is well worth 
ordering a German feast of grilled German sausages with home-made sauerkraut, the crisp pork knuckle with mustard and gravy, or our favourite, the homemade German spätzle tossed with Emmental cheese.
