“I was sent abroad to study from a young age, but I never felt homesick because my host family was so welcoming,” said Nath Deeananlarp, owner of Daddy’s Antique. “The family always included me in every meal and we spent much of our time together in the kitchen, so for me, the kitchen is never work, it is a place of joy.”       Many of the dishes served at Daddy’s Antique were inspired by, or were direct replicas of those memorable meals of his childhood. “I also believe that food isn’t just about taste, it is about texture and feel as well,” added Nath. The classic burger was one such dish Nath used to love, especialy the crispy fried bacon which topped the meat. He did find that for a restaurant setting, the rasher of bacon was clumsy to eat, so instead he has added the bacon into the meat patty itself and combined mashed potato into the bun to add some crispy texture lost from the removal of the fried bacon rasher.         For a taste of home-cooked food using only prime ingredients personally sourced by a passionate owner and cooked with love and nostalgia, head on over to Daddy’s Antique.   Daddy’s Antique Café & Restaurant 45/8 Moo1, T.
