CityNews – Locals are disturbed by a porn movie using Chiang Mai as the backdrop.
A pornography movie, filmed in Chiang Mai has gone viral on social media. The clip starts by introducing the city’s highlights which include Lanna dance and Thai massage before leading on to a male protagonist who is approached by a Thai masseuse in traditional costume. They go for a massage in a private room and have intercourse. The scenes in the film include Loi Kroh Road and Kampangdin Road.
The video clip has been criticised for damaging Chiang Mai’s image and authorities are urged to take action. CityNews has approached Chiang Mai Office of Culture who responded that they have not received official reports while adding that they disapprove of such films but it is not their authority to monitor filming activity nor to supervise massage places in Chiang Mai.
