CityNews – So far four people have applied to stand for election for Chiang Mai Mayor.
Applications will take place at the old Municipality Office 23rd to 27th September, 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. Election day is 3rd November.
Tadsanai Buranupakorn, the former Chiang Mai Mayor, who recently resigned to become a monk and a member of Chiang Mai Khunnatham Group, was first to apply.
Tidarat Siriwittayakorn, a member of the Phue Khon Chiang Mai Group, was second in line followed by Sampan Chatmongkolpan who belongs to no political groups in Chiang Mai. Phornchai Jitnawasatian, a hotel businessman, former Vice Chiang Mai Mayor and member of Ananthaphum Group, was last to arrive.
The draw for applicant numbers resulted as follows:
