At Least Two People Killed at Bangkok Protest Site

CityNews – Two people have been confirmed dead after a gun and grenade attack at Democracy Monument in Bangkok just before 3 a.m. Thursday 15th May.

Over 20 more anti-government protestors, including PDRC guards, were injured when a white pick-up truck pulled up and its occupants threw M79 grenades into the crowd. The same truck then fired machine guns at protestors.

The deceased have been named as Somkhuan Nuankhanai (51), and Narayos Chanphet (21).

Since the protest began in November last year the death toll has reached 27, with around 800 people wounded.
