Just before midnight last night the municipal rescue workers of Mae Hia rushed to a road near Mae Hia market where a woman was about to give birth in a pick up truck.
The woman is 35 and on arrival was minutes from giving birth so rescue workers were unable to move her. They did manage to help her give birth to a healthy baby boy before mother and child were both taken to hospital.
The husband of the woman said that he rushed to the hospital the minute she said that she was in labour, but this being their third child, the whole process moved fast and they are just happy to all be healthy and well.
