CityNews – Two restaurants have been inspected by authorities after receiving reports that they were allegedly not clearly displaying prices and were overcharging customers.

On 19th April, , the officers from the Office of Commercial Affairs, Chiang Mai inspected two restaurants in Nimmanhaemin and in Chang Phuek after receiving complaints about their unclear price tags and overpricing.

Krua Mayom, located on Nimmanhaemin Soi 13, was found that some prices were omitted from the menu and that they sometimes overcharged. The stir fried Chinese kale with pork which was priced at 50 to 60 baht was actually 80 to 120 baht per dish on the final bill. The restaurant was warned by authorities but no penalties were issued.

Another restaurant in Chang Phueak Night Market that was accused of overcharging was also investigated, but no unlawful activity was found and the menus were clearly priced.
