CityNews – Many parts of Chiang Mai was hit by a strong summer storm and much-needed rain last night, with some roads being temporarily inundated and trees falling down and blocking the road on Doi Inthanon-Mae Chaem Road.
On May 16th, significant rainfall was felt in many parts of town though the heaviest area affected were the Sansai and Phrao Districts as well as patches of Muang District. Some electrical outages caused inconvenience, and one motorbike had a small skid accident, but over all there was no real damage.
