CityNews – A songthaew was crushed by a concrete electricity pole in Chiang Rai after strong storm winds hit the northern city.
Two passengers, a woman and a novice monk, were slightly injured but nobody was badly hurt.
The songthaew was driving from Chiang Mai heading to Chiang Rai’s Wiang Pa Pao district when it was hit by the pylon.
An inspection of the scene revealed that two electricity poles collapse, with one pulling the other down when it fell.
Local authorities are surveying the damages and will repair the electricity poles as soon as possible.
