Last week the mother of a 14 year old girl reported her rape by her mother’s husband (the girl’s step father) to the police.
After being raped by her stepfather for eight months, and continuously threatened with death if she told anyone, the 14 year old girl’s pregnancy was no longer able to be concealed and she admitted to her mother that her step father had been raping her when her mother was out of the house.
Police say that they have now arrested a 57 year old man named Jawa, a Lahu man from Mae Taeng for the crime.
