CityNews – A new highway connecting Mae Rim, Phrao and Doi Saket districts, is currently under assessment.
Following a suggestion from the Committee on Transportation of the National Legislative Assembly to build a highway connecting the outer ring road to facilitate the tourism industry, the Department of Rural Roads has started an assessment on the project.
The suggestion is to connect highway 107 (Chiang Mai-Mae Rim) highway 1001 (Chiang Mai-Phrao) and Highway 118 (Chiang Mai-Doi Saket).
A public hearing has been held to notify stakeholders and the assessment will determine whether the project will be put into action.
