Payap University to Spend 17 Million Baht on Disabled Facilities

CityNews – Payap University will build facilities all over the university for disabled people, the first of its kind in Chiang Mai.

The construction already started in July and will be finished in February 2015, costing 17 million baht – mainly supported by USAID, an American government fund under the American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) Program.

The project coordinator, Phi Tananon, said that the project started in 2008 in the planning stage and contacting related departments. The project includes constructing ramps in every building, disabled parking lots, disabled bathrooms, pathways between buildings and lifts in main buildings.
