CityNews – At 6 am on February 12th 1220 police officers and army from the 5th Region surrounded a village near Fang Chanupratam, Fang, that police believed was infested with drugs.
125 houses were searched and police arrested 235 people suspected of selling drugs. One of the suspects was Lamai Srivilai, Village Chief of Moo 11 of Tambon Chiang Dao, who police say had on him 19 pills of methamphetamine.
He also tested positive for drug use. The taskforce collected evidence consisting of 353,897 methamphetamine pills, 1.1 grams of heroin, 1.55 grams of marijuana, 100.05 grams of opium, 16 guns and 163 bullets. The suspects are now awaiting trials.
