CityNews– Boxing tournament “Suek Ni Pua Mae” will take place at Dechanukroh Boxing Stadium, Kawila military base on the August 9th. Not only will this event have the best boxers, but Puifai or Miss Mitirat Boonprom, a 19 year old beautiful university star, will also fight a match. Under the stage name of “Puifai Chor Leksayam,” this university student supports her mother and herself through boxing.
Puifai said that, since she was 15 years old, she fell in love with Thai boxing through watching and practicing it. She usually boxes in many local matches in beer gardens and charity events. Earlier this year, she trained to become a profession fighter, in order to fight in district- level matches. The main reasons she practices Thai boxing is for self-defense and preservation of this art form. On the other stage, Puifai has been nominated as the star of the faculty of communication arts, and won the second prize for the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University star contest. For the future, she wants to continue boxing, as well as become an actress or a model as she enjoys theatre and activities related to the media industry. She invites all to support her in the upcoming match at the “Suek Ni Pua Mae” contest. Puifai’s competitor is said to be a very talented boxer, whether Puifai will be able to win this match or not is worth a watch.
Mr. Chatri Chuemnochan, the deputy mayor of Chiang Mai, who is co-organizing this boxing match with the military officers, is trying to find funding to renovate the Dechanukroh Boxing Stadium and renovate it back to its original grand form.
