MRTA will be surveying sites soon for the construction of the light rail transit system

CityNews – The light rail transit system is progressing with MRTA to be surveying the sites soon.

A notification from the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) on the progress of the light rail transit system was revealed on July 8th by the Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai informing that a team will be surveying the Red Route sites along with conducting a preparation for the bidding process. Though, the date of the operation has not been confirmed yet.

The Red Route is a 12.54 km distance starting from Nakorn Ping Hospital to Mae Hia Saman- Samakkee. (Nakorn Ping Hospital – Chiang Mai Provincial Government Center – International Exhibition and Convention Center – Chiang Mai Rajabhat University – Suan Dok Hospital – Chiang Mai International Airport – Mae Hia Saman- Samakkee)
