CityNews ?- Dengue fever is spreading faster than mosquitoes can bite, according to a report from the Chiang Mai Public Health Office. Believed to be four times worse than the “dengue epidemic” seen a few years back, over 1,600 Chiang Mai residents have been struck by the disease, and already two deaths have been noted.

Mayor Tassanai Buranupakor recently visited Yupparaj Wittayalai School to educate teachers and students about how to properly protect themselves from dengue fever, and distributed Abate Sand Granules and mosquito repellent sprays. Residents in northern Thailand, especially in the Chiang Mai area, are recommended to purchase “mosquito zappers” and keep themselves doused in bug repellent at all times.
