CityNews – Thai Lanna Massage Operators Association filed a petition regarding a porn filmed in Chiang Mai which has been released to great consternation to many.
Following a report concerning a pornography movie using Chiang Mai as the backdrop with a Thai masseuse having intercourse with male visitor in the clip, on June 18th the Thai Lanna Massage Operators Association filed a petition urging authorities to take action.
At the city hall a group of massage entrepreneurs underlined that such movies are damaging to the image of Thai massage and to the image of Chiang Mai. Nuntawan Chutipongwiwet, the president of the association stated that it affects not only to the economic as a whole but down to employees who have families to feed. Technology Crime Suppression Division is urged to punish those who release and share the movie while the Chiang Mai Public Health Office are asked to strictly monitor professional licenses. The public relations department is also asked to distribute information on the benefits of Thai massage to build good reputation.
