CityNews – A 20 year old Burmese girl was found dead in a room in an apartment in Wat Gate on April 19th.  Her hands had been tied, and cloth had been wrapped around her head.

Mae Ping police had earlier received a call informing them about the body. They arrived at the scene at 10 a.m. with a Maharaj Hospital medical examiner to find the body of Nan Sein Nyunt (20), a Burmese national, who works as a housekeeper in Chiang Mai. Officials believed she had already been dead for at least three days.

After interviewing witnesses and reviewing security cameras police found footage showing a man called Pan Sai, 26 (Sein Nyunt’s ex-boyfriend) leaving the apartment on the evening of April 16th. The video showed him taking the victim’s motorcycle.

Police believe Pan may have argued with Sein and then strangled her. They are currently looking for him.
