Karen Thai Group files a petition demanding the release of leader of the Karen Woman Council.

CityNews – On September 18th, members of Karen Thai Group (KTG) led by Loy Por, 52, rallied at The General Consulate of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to demand the release of Nho O-la, leader of Karen Women Council who was arrested during the Karen Union 69th anniversary held on August 12th in Myanmar.

At the rally, KTG underlined that the arrest is unjust and violates the rights and freedom of speech while also asking the Burmese government to stop the hostility against Karen people. The petition was received by the representative of the consulate.
