CityNews – At 2 p.m. on March 31st, Chiang Mai Police Department received a call about a house fire on Phra Pok Klao Road Soi 6.
Chiang Mai Fire Department (CMFD) arrived at the scene with five fire trucks. The two and a half storey house near Chiang Mai Chevrolet Showroom, was engulfed in flames.
The fire caught on to nearby houses rapidly due to dry weather conditions. It took the CMFD 15 minutes to extinguish the fire that covered five houses.
The house where the fire started was totally destroyed. Other homes were partially damaged. Three motorcycles were also damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured.
After the fire marshals surveyed the damage, they estimated it to be at least 1 million baht. The marshals are still investigating the cause of fire.
