CityNews – 12th March 2020, the Facebook moniker Anakin FB posted a video clip with the caption, “Please allow me to use this space for main media,” on the 9th March 2020.

“Driving past the roundabout at Santitham at 3am,” he continued, “a telephone or electric cable had fallen down onto the road and had looped around the motorbike driver’s neck. This caused the bike to crash and severe injuries to the body following the crash, but especially on the neck.

“I told the injured girl to go to the Chang Peuak police station to report this incident and to find out who would take responsibility,” said the poster. “If she was driving faster than this…I don’t even want to think about it. Whoever is responsible for this cable please stand up. I ask that you share this far and wide so we can get whoever did this to take responsibility.”

The injured party was Praiangsorn Swaisorn, 21, a seamstress at a fashion shop in Santitham. She had a 20cm wound along her neck where the wire caught her. She said that she was driving home sometime after 3pm when she was struck by this hanging cable. Thankfully, she said, she used one of her hands to grab the cable before falling, managing to untangle it from her neck before impact to the road. She was also thankful that she was driving fairly slowly.

She said that it cost her 1,500 baht at the hospital and she has to go to back daily to tend her wounds. She would like to see someone step up and own up to this incident which, she said, could easily have killed her or anyone else.
