CityNews – Chiang Mai Governor joins “Governor Meets People” campaign in order to help with problems in the community head on.
On April 21, Chiang Mai Governor, Prawin Chamniprasart, was invited as guest of honour to the campaign “Governor Meets People” – to listen to residents issues and help provide assistance.
The campaign was part of the One Stop Service, a project to provide direct assistance to people without too much bureaucracy getting in the way.
65 other departments also joined the campaign, offering further assistance. Rice, eggs, water and blankets were given away to help those in need and 30,000 fish were also provided for free in order to encourage people to use the service more.
One of the major concerns was the haze, and Prawin said that anyone found burning during times it is illegal, will be prosecuted immediately.
