CityNews – Chiang Mai Governor Pawin Chamniprasart kicked off the 2016 initiative to combat pollution at the International Convention Centre.
The governor, working with numerous groups, was joined by 3,800 people (mainly officials and some villagers in affected areas) in this one day activity which saw an exhibition featuring all the different organisations involved in combatting pollution, a parade to raise awareness as well as handing over of an unspecified fund to support the combat against pollution. The governor requests the people of Chiang Mai all refrain from any burnings from now on.
