Preparing for floods and any other emergencies Thailand’s Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has been on high alert. The department is watching closely the unusual weather in many parts of Thailand. General Chatchai Promlert, the Director of DDPM, told the press that he expects more floods as heavy rains have been forecast. He added that the northern region of the country would not experience as much rain.

People living in areas that have already experienced extreme weather should remain vigilant about flash floods and strong winds.
