CityNews – A fire rescue team rushed to the scene at Japan Pub, where tables, chairs and sofas smouldered under the blaze of what is believed to be a fire caused by an electrical shortage earlier this afternoon.
Japan Pub, which is just yards away from Payap University behind the Big C Extra, contract had expired on 1st July, and owner Patchatat Piriyayanon was on the brink of clearing out the establishment when the fire started.
After the blaze was successfully contained, the Maeping police underwent an investigation to assess possible causes of the fire as well as damages assessments, which are around 150,000 baht and mounting. Luckily, no one was injured, but many of the 8-year-old establishment’s contents were burned.
