CityNews – Last night, a pile of dried branches caught fire on the Chiang Mai University Campus. It took fireman from the Suthep Subdistrict over an hour to control the blaze.
Chiang Mai University officials estimate the damage to be around five rais of land.
The fire department is continuing to monitor the area to ensure the fire does not reignite.
Following the blaze, there were large amounts of smoke covering parts of the university. Residents and students are encouraged to avoid driving in the area.
