CityNews – Chiang Mai Police arrested four drug dealers Phuwit Pisanwattana (33), Wasawad Maneeratchayakun (25), Pratya Kittika (30), and Chayakorn Chuenkham (26) with 400,000 amphetamine pills, at Mae Soi security checkpoint, Hod-Chiang Mai Road.
In what seems like standard procedure police had been tipped off by an informant and were waiting for the truck to pass through the checkpoint. The truck police were told would be driving from Chang Dao to Bangkok, although they had also been told that the men would use different cars and even use a speedboat.
When police stopped the truck it was pulling the speedboat behind it. Police seized Phuwit’s house, his five cars, a speedboat, a gun, and other properties worth around 10 million baht.
