CityNews – Rescue services were called after a group of foreigners walking along Nawarat Bridge noticed a body floating in the Ping River, on October 26.
The body was seen floating in the water opposite the Chiang Mai governor’s house.
The man was identified as 24-year-old Peerapong Choktaruan from Doi Tao district. Police believe he had been dead for at least 24 hours.
After the body was retrieved, it was taken for autopsy to establish the cause of death.
The investigation continues.
