CityNews – At 5:30 a.m. on February 16th, police at Dang Yang checkpoint in Amphur Wang Chin, Phrae, arrested two suspects, Nirut Thong-Ampai, 24, of Nakhon Prathom and Ranrana Nuritmon, 19, of Ratchaburi.
They found 81 packages labeled ‘999’ containing 818,100 pills of methamphetamine in a black Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck. The truck was fitted with secret compartments built into the rear fender, the tailgate, passenger seats, and modified fuel tank. The couple were on their way from Sukhothai with yaba smuggled from Chiang Rai with the plan to distribute them in Nakhorn Pratom.
