Chiang Mai Police Catch Up With Thief After Two Years

CityNews – Chiang Mai Police Investigative Unit arrested Amnuey PanKhao (34) of Mae Cham district, Chiang Mai, on March 4th per an arrest warrant issued by Chiang Mai Court. He was charge with burglary and had been on the run from police for two years.

Victim Arnon Wongkongkaew filed a police report back in January 2012. His store on Mahidol Road, Chiang Mai, was robbed of 40,000 baht and two mobile phones.

The surveillance camera showed two burglars with their faces covered breaking into Arnon’s store. The investigator tracked one of the stolen phones to an ice factory worker in the district of Pa Paeng. He told the police that he bought the phone from his co-worker Amnuey.

Amnuey had managed to elude the authorities until the police finally found him hiding in a house in Baan San Klang Nue, San Kamphaeng.
