CityNews – Chiang Mai Governor Wichian Puttiwinyu and staff from relative departments went to Saraphi October 24th to visit relatives of those who died or were injured in a bus crash on 23rd October in Wang Nue, Lampang.
The governor told the press he was also there to make sure papers were in order so that people could claim insurance. Relatives of the twenty-two deceased will receive 200,000 baht from Sahamongkol Insurance, or 340,000 baht from Wiriya Insurance.
The injured will receive up to 50,000 baht for hospital fees and 200 baht per day for each day in hospital.
The governor also went to funerals in many houses – some of them were just next to or opposite of each other.
