CityNews – On 18th June, Chiang Mai City Police arrested Attakorn Meechair (32) with a charge of car theft, according to the arrest warrant of police from Udon Thani Provincial Court.

The police of Chiang Mai received a report from Kudjab Police Station in Udon Thani that Attakorn escaped from Isaan province to hide in Chiang Mai city. Typical of his past, dotted with many car thefts, Attakorn rented several different vehicles from various companies but never returned them. Attakorn instead opted to sell on the cars to the ignorant people of Chiang Mai – it was unbeknownst to them that their new illegitimate vehicles belonged to rent companies and not the criminal standing before them.
Attakorn was found at a car rental shop on Mahidol Road; he was in the middle of providing the shop’s employees with fake documents so that he could rent out yet another car.
