Bag Snatcher Finally Arrested

CityNews – A prolific bag snatcher was finally arrested by Chiang Mai police last Friday, after many reports lead to identifying the perpetrator this weekend.

31-year-old Kraisorn Kammun from the Mae Sa sub-district was arrested and charged with multiple cases theft.

Police also seized a purse, a ring, six pawn agreements for various mobile phones and a motorcycle without a license plate.

Chiang Mai police managed to trace the thief after Ms Nattachiha Kim reported that she was approached by the man posing as a Good Samaritan, offing help as she had broken down. While she was not looking, he snatched her purse, mobile phone and a ring and then fled the scene.

Kraisorn has had prior convictions for theft and has already served three years in jail for those offences.

He admitted to stealing Nattachiha’s belongings and also told police he had conduced similar snatches over twenty times in the local area.

The motorcycle he was caught riding was stolen from Doi Lo district.

Kraisorn told police he sold the stolen items to get money for drugs.
