CityNews – After a portable power charger belonging to a traveller caught on fire at the Chiang Mai International Airport last week, the Airport of Thailand, Chiang Mai Office officially clarified the incident on July 26th. The explanation for the ignition is that there was lithium ion in the batteries which the authorities suspect reacted to a liquid substance that leaked into the batteries. The liquid substance is assumed to be a perfume which was also in the bag while the American traveller was using the power bank to charge a phone.

Portable Electronic Device : PED including mobile phone, laptop, hoverboard and Airwheel
