CityNews – Fire at Doi Inthanon damages over 30 rai of forest.
On March 10th, a fire erupted in Ban Khun Klang, Doi Inthanon National Park. Over 40 forestry officers along with villagers were on field to put out the fire. The blaze started around 11am that day. The terrain is steep making it difficult to access and the weather is reportedly windy. Two helicopters were later sent to deliver water as requested by the forestry officers. It took about six hours to put out fire. 37 rai of forest was damaged.
