Chiang Mai Officials Scrub the Streets of Chiang Mai in Multiform Public Relations Event

CityNews – On Sunday April 6th Chiang Mai officials, including Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasatbandit, met at Tapae Gate for ‘Chiang Mai Big Cleaning Day’.


During the event various officials splashed water onto the streets in honour of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 60th birthday, but also to welcome the coming New Year, and to express their concern over the smog problem.

The Chiang Mai Governor asked for cooperation from every district, and also asked officials and local residents to warmly welcome tourists joining the New Year festival.

The governor also asked officials and residents to splash water in an appropriate manner, according to Chiang Mai’s local customs.
