CityNews – This morning, Police arrested two Burmese nationals who had have been accused of stealing money from gas vending machines in Chiang Mai and Lamphun areas.
When the two men were arrested, they admitted to their crime, telling police they used the money stolen to buy drugs.
After checking their immigration status, it was found that both suspects are living in Thailand illegally.
An investigation was opened after many reports of money being stolen were issued to police. They used a motorcycle and bolt cutters to break into the vending machines.
They are awaiting prosecution at San Pa Tong Police Station.
