The 49th Chiang Mai Flower Festival is set to take place from 13th-15th February 2026 at Nong Buak Haad Public Park.

The invitation was announced on 3rd February 2026 at the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation Council Chamber, where Ittirat Sinarak, Chiang Mai Provincial Director of Tourism and Sports, briefed local media during the province’s press conference.

This year’s festival is held under the theme “Royal Blossoms Across the Sky, the Timeless Beauty of Nakhon Ping,” highlighting flowers bearing royal names alongside a wide variety of blooms, presented in harmony with the rich traditions of Lanna culture amid the cool late-winter atmosphere. The official opening ceremony and floral parade will take place on Saturday, 14th February 2026, from 8am, with the procession departing from Nawarat Bridge and heading towards Nong Buak Haad Park.

Festival highlights include the grand floral parade, showcasing elaborately decorated floats adorned with tens of thousands of winter flowers, accompanied by Lanna cultural performances. The parade will begin moving at 7.30am on 14th February. Visitors can also enjoy floral exhibitions at Nong Buak Haad Park, transformed into a colourful garden and popular photo spot featuring tulips, orchids and other blooms, as well as OTOP products and plant sales from local farmers and community entrepreneurs. Additional activities include choral music performances at the Tha Pae Gate, a children’s painting competition under the festival theme, and a photography contest titled “The Charm of Flowers and the Beauty of Chiang Mai’s Way of Life.”
