A 19 year old student, identified only as Kornwit, who was arrested on Wednesday the 21st after video of him riding a motorcycle at dangerous speeds on Doi Suthep road went viral on social media, is now facing additional charges after victims came forward to report sexual harassment — identifying him as the same person who had harassed runners and cyclists on the mountain road on multiple previous occasions.

Region 5 Police Commander Lt.Gen. Kritthapon Yeesakorn confirmed the developments on Thursday the 22nd, stating that Kornwit would face the full weight of the law. He has already been charged with reckless driving without regard for public safety, with his case pending before the court. Police have recommended permanent seizure of his motorcycle, and his parents or guardians are being summoned to face proceedings alongside him.

The commander added that any other riders found racing on the route would face serious charges and have their vehicles confiscated. Officers from Phuping Rajaniwet Police Station, under Superintendent Pol.Col. Sinothai Lilittham, are coordinating with additional victims to confirm whether all harassment incidents were committed by the same individual — though existing evidence strongly suggests they were.
