Tourism Authority of Thailand Chiang Mai office has announced that it expects Chiang Mai to receive over 80 billion baht in income from tourism this year.
In a meeting held today with many organisations, TAT reported that due to the rapid increase in tourism, the northern economy is returning to its pre-pandemic vibrancy.
TAT then said that last year over 8.7 million visitors came to Chiang Mai, spending nearly 60 billion baht in the local economy.
