Raya Heritage invites you to embark on a journey of flavors, knowledge, and cultural exchange through the culinary traditions of Southeast Asia with SPICE JOURNEY, a special event that celebrates the rich connection between spices, history and regional gastronomy.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore an extraordinary selection of dishes inspired by the culinary heritage of Myanmar, Yunnan, Laos, and Lanna, thoughtfully crafted by Raya Heritage’s chefs using locally sourced spices and ingredients. Each dish reflects the distinctive identity and stories of the region, offering a deeper appreciation of how spices have shaped culinary traditions across borders.
SPICE JOURNEY will take place on Saturday, 4 July 2026, beginning in the afternoon and continuing into an evening dinner experience. The event features a carefully curated program designed to engage guests through immersive culinary and cultural activities, including:
14:30 hrs. | Special Talk at Baan Ta
“Trade route, tracing the flavorful culinary journey from Myanmar, Yunnan and Lanna” presented by Mr. Taweep Rittinaphakorn, an independent scholar specializing in textiles and Southeast Asian art history, as well as a curator at the The Siam Society under Royal Patronage.
15:30 hrs. | Mixology Demonstration at Baan Ta
A live demonstration of cocktail and mocktail creation, showcasing the creative use of spices as key ingredients to produce distinctive aromas and flavors.
16:30 hrs. | Spice World & Spice Blend at Lobby
Guests will be invited to delve into the fascinating world of spices and learn the art of spice blending with Dr. Nitat Boonpaisansthit and Dr. Kanchana Sommit from Maejo University under the LMC Spice Route Project.
17:00 hrs. | Culinary Demonstration at Khu Khao Lawn
A live cooking session by the chefs, highlighting the use of indigenous spices as the heart of flavorful dishes that offer both unique taste profiles and health benefits.
The evening concludes with the dinner buffet, featuring an authentic selection of dishes from Myanmar, Yunnan, Laos and Lanna, allowing guests to savor the remarkable diversity of flavors shaped by centuries of spice trade and cultural exchange.
