Scholar Gateway’s English Writing Competition 2026

A total of 320 young writers took part in this year’s competition, divided into three categories, each exploring a unique theme.

Junior Category (Ages 9–10)
“A Glimpse into My Future”
Young writers imagined the possibilities that lie ahead.

Intermediate Category (Ages 11–13)
“The Impact of Social Media on Teenagers”
Participants examined one of today’s most influential topics affecting young people.

Senior Category (Ages 14–15)
“The Role of AI in Future Classrooms”
Students explored how artificial intelligence may shape the future of education.

The event also marked the introduction of Scholar Gateway’s newest branch from Hong Kong.

At Scholar Gateway, communication and critical thinking are recognised as essential skills for the future. Annual Speech and Writing Competitions are organised to strengthen English proficiency and develop confidence among learners from Nursery to University, as well as working professionals.

Learning opportunities extend beyond English.

Programmes are available in Thai, Chinese, and English, covering global languages, Mathematics, Science, and the Arts. International curricula include IB, AP, IGCSE, and A-Levels, alongside ESL programmes, preparation for ISEB, CEM, AEAS, SAT, TOEFL, and IELTS, plus Afterschool Care with Homework Support.
