Rescue helicopters and personnel descend to help Ban Pang Ung flood victims

A flash flood and landslide occurred in Ban Pang Ung in Mae Chaem District, resulting in the deaths is currently seven people. Rescue teams continue to search for two missing 5-year-old boys. The search for the remaining two missing used a backhoe from the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization to excavate the area where the bodies were previously found.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) of Thailand utilizes helicopters to transport field tents to provide temporary shelter for disaster victims.

More than 500 volunteer defense officers from 19 provinces nationwide have arrived to supplement local administrative organization who have been working continuously since August 27th.

Meanwhile, Phra Khru Aod from Wat Chedi Luang, along with his fellow spiritual relatives give a support by setting up a central kitchen at the Ban Pang Ung temporary shelter. They are distributing essential items such as rice, dried food, eggs, and fresh vegetables. They are also preparing freshly cooked meals, drinking water, and clothing for the disaster victims which are 133 people from 97 families.
