A transformer on a power pole blew, causing sparks in front of a shop on Wualai Road. After the incident, villagers found that the power pole was overgrown with branches, which may have contributed to the power outage and the transformer explosion.
A similar incident occurred at the same spot last March. Sparks from that explosion caused a massive fire, and both electrical and signal cables were damaged. Following the event, officials only installed new wires and signal cables. The area was not cleaned up and remained overgrown with trees.
On September 22, 2025, the same incident occurred again, alarming villagers with a loud explosion. Residents are urging authorities to properly maintain the area and take action to resolve the ongoing issues.
