Chiang Mai’s annual charity Red Cross lottery is once again drawing excitement, with this year’s top prize causing an even bigger stir than usual. In previous years, major prizes included a house with land and a townhome, but this year’s first prize is a 50.50 baht gold bar worth more than 3.1 million baht — a highly coveted reward among punters, especially given gold’s rapidly rising value! More than 300 additional prizes are also on offer, including electric cars, electric motorcycles and other environmentally themed rewards.
The Chiang Mai Red Cross Society has printed 200,000 charity lottery tickets, priced at 100 baht each, distributed to all 25 district offices and sold online. Today marked the first day of on-site sales at the provincial Red Cross office, drawing large crowds. Of the 7,000 booklets available on site, only 1,074 remain after a single day. A further 3,000 booklets allocated for online agents are expected to sell out within days, as in previous years.
Another portion of tickets is being reserved for sale at the province’s annual Winter Fair, running from 9th-23rd January 2026. Online sales are available via the “Chiang Mai Red Cross Online Lottery 2026” page. Prize draws will take place on the main stage of the Chiang Mai Winter Fair on 23 January 2026.
